Underneath the Sycamore

What a quirky collection of photos. When I discovered these glasses (bottom image) I instantly had to have them! Too bad I have no idea who the designer is, if anyone knows please let me know! who knew that the water canister in the middle could be so cute. I love elephants so I thought this picture was absolutely genius. I have realized that I am terrible at being consistent with blogging (sorry about that), but mainly it's because I tend to be forgetful but also because I am rarely around a computer. Just a busy busy bee some would say! Labor Day coming up, that should be a great day (mainly for me because I get a day off from school)! I recently discovered the artist DeVotchKa and they are amazing, if you haven't heard of them you need to check them out. You will not regret it! Have a great week, and hopefully I will talk to you soon!

One And Only

Today I decided that I wanted to make a tribute to the amazing photographer Annie Leibovitz! These are just a few of the many photographs that she has taken. The photos above are a few of my personal favorites and I felt that I should share them with you. I hope you enjoy these photographs and maybe they have inspired you to go and look up more. Have a fabulous day!

Life's What You Make It

These pictures I find to be absolutely stunning! Lately I have been obsessed with messy buns! They are gorgeous and have that perfectly effortless look about them, and yet I can not figure out how they do it! Also, I was searching dining sets for an interior design portfolio that I am creating and this one just took my breath away. The antique arm chairs with the perfect lace table cloth and they have created the perfect dining set. But on a different note, don't these cupcakes look to die for! They instantly made me crave cupcakes, I just love them. Happy Sunday everyone!

Hard Sun

{Photographed by Liz Ham}

What a lovely array of photos that I have found today. The photo on top is a beautiful website that I recently discovered where they sell feathered headbands just like the one in the picture. The website is called Pearl & Ivy, and was created by two gorgeous girls straight out of the UK with a fantastic idea. I definitely recommend checking them out. I don't know about you, but I definitely would love to own one of those! Another person that I have recently come upon is the photographer Liz Ham who, may I say, is absolutely amazing at what she does!

Don't You (Forget About Me)

I absolutely adore these shoes! I want...no...I Need these shoes!! I love the vibrant colors with the cool ankle height style. Yesterday I had decided to watch one of my all time favorite movies, The Breakfast Club, and so it gave me the desire to share a little piece of it with you...a little taste of David Bowie! I Hope you all are having a fantastic weekend and enjoying the summer while you still can!

Anything But Ordinary

I have just discovered this incredible new artist, his name is Kyle Bean. What he does is completely mind blowing! He takes the most simplest things like paper, match sticks, even things as crazy as pencil shavings and turns them into such wondrous art pieces. He has done things for companies such as Diesel, New York Times, even Louis Vuitton! If you are curious to learn more about him or just want to see some more of his amazing art pieces here is a link. Go check him out, you won't regret it!

Shine

I absolutely adore this girl. If you have not discovered this new modeling sensation, let me introduce you. This here is Thylane Léna-Rose Blondeau. I don't care what anyone says, this young girl is absolutely phenomenal at what she does. And believe it or not she actually writes her own poetry. After looking at her extremely diverse portfolio she is destined to become an iconic model when she grows up. When I found about this girl I just had to post a tribute to her! Bravo to Thylane. If you care to see more photos of her, here is a blog that was created just for her: http://thylaneblondeaupictures.tumblr.com/.

"The Way It Is

Is so beautiful
My life is bright like the sun
I wish I could run
I like to be
You and me
We play all day
It's so great to me
It's like a piece of paper
Running from the sands
Why my life is so good
My life is like a picket fence
Running from here to there
Oh why is it not fair
To be left here
Away in the sand?
I like to be
A wishing star
Come from afar
To that big lamp in the sun.

Guaranteed

Finally signed up for my college courses at Palomar, I am so excited! Although I am still in high school (my senior year to be exact) I have decided to get ahead and take some college courses towards the degree that I wish to receive. So I am taking two different classes the first is and intro to interior  design whereas the other is the history of decorative arts 1. Hopefully these classes will be as enjoyable as I wish for them to be because once I get my degree I am crossing my fingers that my parents will let me go to the American Intercontinental University in London!! How exciting would that be, boy that would be a dream come true! Oh and on a different note, did anyone watch the season finale of The Bachelorette?! I know I did! I am so glad that she ended up with JP, I was rooting for that cute boy since the very beginning (and they seem so cute together)!
