Paradise

What an exciting day it was yesterday! I finally put up a couple of rings that I have made onto etsy that way people can buy them!! Yay...if you want to check them out click here :) I really hope people like them and maybe I can have my own little side business just for them! But let's not get ahead of ourselves now. Only two more days until Christmas, and thank goodness for finally having gotten everyone a present. It is crazy but I have known my family my entire life and yet when it comes to buying them presents I still have no clue what to get them!! Oh boy! (Btw, kind of been obsessed with weird old fashioned-like pictures like the one above lately) Haha! Have a very merry Christmas everyone...and I shall write to you after the holidays.

Golden Child

Not too long ago did I buy the new issue of W magazine with the Fanning sisters on the cover. When I opened it up to their editorials I was completely speechless. Their photos together and individually were so breath taking I immediately decided to buy it. When it comes to pictures I like, it is not too hard to please me, but when it comes to pictures that take my breath away, well that is more of a challenge. From the cover with its gorgeous combination of gold on white to its stunning black and white photos of the incredible sister duo, I have never seen something more perfect in my life! If you haven't seen the photos or even heard of the magazine before I highly recommend you do so. You will not regret it for a minute and will love so many of the beautiful pictures that the magazines provide. I hope you all are having a fantastic Christmas holiday and are keeping warm in this chilly weather :)

Party In The U.S.A.

Recently found out that they are building a Harry Potter World at the Universal Studios in Hollywood!!! Sooo stoked you have no idea. It is like my dream come true to finally have one here! Supposedly Disneyland wanted to build it there but Universal Studios swooped in and immediately took the idea, and thank goodness for that! It would have just been weird to have it at Disneyland, especially since it's not even a Disney produced movie. On the note, finals are next week and then hello Christmas break!! I can not wait to finally get a break from all this crazy school work. Could not have come at a better time. In even better news, my brother comes home from college today. Sooo excited, I can barely hold it in.

Timing Is Everything

I have been watching the new show on Bravo called Work of Art and it just makes you want to be as creative and amazingly talented as they are! So the other day I decided I would try to use some of the the they did for their pieces, so I want over to the Hobby Lobby and bought myself a small watercolor sketchbook. I have had a ton of watercolors sitting up in my room for years and never really thought much of using them, but oh my gosh it is sooo much fun!! Here is a little sample of what I came up with when I was painting (middle picture seen above)!!! It's nothing special but I just thought I'd give those aspiring artists some faith that all it takes is that one step of going after the supplies and let your imagination do the talking. Art is all about what pops up in your head for that quick second or two and makes you want to put it down on paper in order to bring it to life!

Time of Our Lives

Hooray for Thanksgiving break! I cannot wait for tomorrow. My best friend and I are going to go to Las Vegas with my parents to celebrate my 18th birthday. Boy, what an age. I am so excited to go to Vegas because 1.) she had never been, and 2.) I have been dying to check out all the different cirque du soleil souvenir shops!! I want to buy one of their masks sooo badly. It should be a ton of fun becuase just being there and seeing the strip lit up at night is absolutely stunning. Oh and one more fantastic thing, I am finally out of my weird fun, YaaY!! This week just keeps getting better and better.

Colors of the Wind

I have come to the conclusion that the only way to find happiness in my life is to do what I love and pursue my dreams no matter what the end result may be. If I stop trying to do what makes me me and start doing what everyone else is telling me to do, than I will never be truly happy. So it may take me longer to pay the bills with the artsy career that I want to go into, but who cares. As long as I am getting by with the money that I make and am able to provide for myself than hell with all those other lame cubical jobs. I will have the privilege of saying that yes, I love my job, and yes, I want to keep doing it for the rest of my life!

The Final Countdown

Now would probably be a good time to decide what I want to study when I go to college. My top 3 passions are: Interior Design, Greek Mythology, and Pastries (in no specific order). I really enjoy all three of them but it is so hard to find a good school that offers any of them! I almost feel like just going to Palomar college because they offer both interior design and Greek mythology, and then trying to learn more pastry skills on my own. I am constantly stuck in a rut when it comes to choosing between these three. Oh Boy, this is going to be a tough one!!

Small Soldier

What a stunning photoshoot by Tim Walker for the June 2009 issue of Vogue Italia, featuring model Malgosia Bela. I absolutely adore the whole idea of it. When I saw this I just knew I had to share it with all of you. To see the comlpete editorial click here. Hope you are all having a fantastic day...stay strong!

Fix You

What a looong week it has been, and yet it is still only Wednesday! This week just isn't my week. I have been feeling dizzy and a complete mess for weeks now, so on Saturday my parents finally decided that I need to go to the Urgent Care and figure out what has been wrong with me. Found out that I have some sort of virus going on but since they are unsure of what it is I am told that I need to report back on Friday so that they can do more tests. Oh goody, way to make my day! On top of that I have been feeling so down lately. I don't know what it is (maybe its stress, who really nows), but whatever it is I would really appreciate it if it would stop. Have you ever felt so alone even though you know you have friends that are there for you no matter what?! Well that is me right now. Haha wow I sound like little miss sunshine right now don't I! I hope that everyone else has a spectacular week this week, and try not to let anything get you down. Hopefully this virus thing is nothing too crazy!

Skip the Charades

Recently discovered tumblr, and I have decided that I'm addicted. But I have found out that pretty much all of my blogs I have about zero followers. But I've decided that as long as I am enjoying myself when blogging, hat's all that counts :) Halloween is coming up pretty quickly now, anyone going to be anything cool? I was contemplating three things: 1. David Bowie (with his lightning bolt), 2. a hippie, or 3. Twiggy. Hmm, what to choose what to choose!

Setting Forth

What a hectic past few weeks it has been. I never realized how much work it would be to be in regular high school and have two college courses on the side. Let me just say, Wow! It certainly doesn't give me much time to think about what colleges I am going to apply to pretty soon now. Oh well, I'm sure I will figure it out eventually. For school I have been reading the book Into The Wild which in my opinion is one of the best books that I have ever read. It is fascinating and reading about his journey and the people that he has met is just incredible. When people first heard about his death they either thought that he was a complete fool or very brave. In my opinion I think he is such an inspiration...to go out and do something so crazy but something that he dreamed of doing and not letting anyone tell him otherwise is just unbelievable. I think that more people should follow their dreams the way that he did. Never give up on your dreams because you never know where they might take you!

Attention

What a hectic past few weeks!! From my high school work to my college class work, I have been swamped with what feels like never ending homework. When my mom showed me this video it calmed me down in a way. When watching this I thought, man he is cute haha, but other than that I thought that I would love to go to places like that. They are absolutely gorgeous! Which made me determined to convince my parents to let me go on my french class's summer trip this coming summer. It is a 10 day trip: Starting out in London, then taking the underwater train (how exciting) and heading over to Paris, and then after that we will head to Germany then go home. Mad World

(Frances Bean)

(Agyness Dean by Hedi Slimane)

Boy did this week fly by! It is already Thursday, thank goodness. Today I felt like I would go with more edgy photos and really give this blog some diversity. Also, I absolutely adore all of Agyness Dean's photographs! She is such an incredible model. Recently I have really been thinking about the placement that I want my tattoo to be and when I found this picture of Frances Bean I thought it was so clever that she has a tattoo on the inside of her arm below her armpit. Since I want a quote I didn't know where a good place would be and then this picture really inspires me to get it in the same spot that she has one. Grant it, it will probably hurt even more there but hey a little pain is nothing compared to a soon to be gorgeous work of art!

Underneath the Sycamore

What a quirky collection of photos. When I discovered these glasses (bottom image) I instantly had to have them! Too bad I have no idea who the designer is, if anyone knows please let me know! who knew that the water canister in the middle could be so cute. I love elephants so I thought this picture was absolutely genius. I have realized that I am terrible at being consistent with blogging (sorry about that), but mainly it's because I tend to be forgetful but also because I am rarely around a computer. Just a busy busy bee some would say! Labor Day coming up, that should be a great day (mainly for me because I get a day off from school)! I recently discovered the artist DeVotchKa and they are amazing, if you haven't heard of them you need to check them out. You will not regret it! Have a great week, and hopefully I will talk to you soon!

One And Only

Today I decided that I wanted to make a tribute to the amazing photographer Annie Leibovitz! These are just a few of the many photographs that she has taken. The photos above are a few of my personal favorites and I felt that I should share them with you. I hope you enjoy these photographs and maybe they have inspired you to go and look up more. Have a fabulous day!

Life's What You Make It

These pictures I find to be absolutely stunning! Lately I have been obsessed with messy buns! They are gorgeous and have that perfectly effortless look about them, and yet I can not figure out how they do it! Also, I was searching dining sets for an interior design portfolio that I am creating and this one just took my breath away. The antique arm chairs with the perfect lace table cloth and they have created the perfect dining set. But on a different note, don't these cupcakes look to die for! They instantly made me crave cupcakes, I just love them. Happy Sunday everyone!
